Samia Heshmat received the B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering at South Valley University, Aswan, Egypt, in 2003. In 2005, she joined the Faculty of Engineering at Aswan University, where she served as a teaching assistant for undergraduate students while initiating her research focus on image processing.

– Joined as a Principal Researcher at the Division of Quantum Science and Engineering, Laboratory of
Light-wave Instrumentation, Graduate School of Engineering, Hokkaido University, in October 2008, for a
collaborative study on the Development of accurate phase unwrapping algorithms for noisy images
obtained from various applications.
– After finishing the master’s study successfully and being awarded a master’s degree in September 2010.
Start a doctor study from October 2010 to March 2014 to investigate the problem of phase unwrapping
and improving the quality and time cost of the proposed algorithms for noisy images………..
